how acurate is this compared to a fight simulator with a regular controller? because ive been just messing around with this for a few weeks and have gotten quite good and i am getting my first 4 channel rc airplane, should i consider buying a actual flight simulator iwth a regular controller or know that this is accurate?

There is no Hi-Start or winch so I had to give the glider some thrust to get off the ground. The sound helps you know how much thrust is being applied. You can cut it back for gliding. Slomowatt doesn’t have smoke because its an electric model. I would like to animate the props someday. I think that and control surface deflection would really add to the realism. Thanks!

Raechele,Thank you for keeping us posted via the blog. I know it was a very long trip, but I am so greatful that everyone landed in South America with the grace of God. I knew that our young ambassadors of music would make a great impression as they traveled representing BSS. They are a great group of youngsters. I have been enjoying the comments by Eugene, Alana, and William. It gives me a sense of how much the touring ensemble appreciates the sacrifices that our their families have made. Mary Cay and David are” crown jewels” that guide give and foster our youngsters to create the “so high” quality of much to a level beyhong extrodinary. Thank you both for what you have provided our children. A very special thank you to Linda for the hours of work and sacrifices she brings to BSS as well.Give Isaac a big hug for me. I know that this experience will make an everlasting impression on his life as well as the other youngsters. I will be in the audience in spirit as the ensemble play their first concert on Sunday evening. Looking forward to hearing more from them.Phillip Tabone

Try to go on-line there are lots of flying school on line. I can’t give you a place which particular school you should go co’z I don’t even know where you are. Be sure when you go to a flight school the type rating you should get is the same type of helicopter you will be using in the future otherwise its useless.

sorry for being OT, but I was wondering: how’s your del.icio.us tags with blogger working out? I am trying to get this to work, but I have a problem: on my first test post, I was asked for the target url for where the post should be updated in de.icio.us. Typo error, and now nothing works. Do you have any idea how I can change the initial setting and get this to work?

The only grant I know of is for Vortex Helicopters in New Iberia, LA. You have to be a resident of Louisiana for at least a year borefe you can apply/receive the grant. I think it's only for a few thousand dollars though. There's an Alternative' loan available through Key Bank for certain flight schools. Talk to your flight school about it and they should be able to send you in the right direction.

After talking with several flight instructors it seems the consensus is that after you leave "C" airspace you need to be talking to ATC before re-entering. A call to Norfolk ATC resulted in a first answer of being since I was in contact with ATC it was not an issue but later in the conversation they were unsure. They are going to check on it and let me know.

Looking at KORF "C" airspace there is an inner ring that extends from the surface to 4,000 ft. The outer ring extends from 1,200 ft to 4,000 ft. I have a clearance to depart to the west VFR. The tower assigns me at or below 1,000 and a heading of 270. Upon leaving the inner ring tower says "N12345 - radar services terminated, squawk VFR, frequency change approved". If I want to climb I will re-enter the charlie airspace at 1,200 feet. Not wanting to remain at 1,000 ft is it ok to re-enter the class "C" airspace without talking to tower again.
